Experience, Education, and Dedication to LA County
About Andre
Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and proudly raised in Compton, California, I am a product of perseverance, faith, and community. Raised by my mother, a strong single parent who taught me the value of hard work and integrity. I learned early on that success comes through service and commitment.
As a teen, I was signed to one of Los Angeles’ top talent agencies and appeared in television shows, photo shoots, and national commercials. After graduating from Carson High School; a Colt for life! I began my first job at Target at just 16 years old and became one of the youngest supervisors at age 18.
Determined to serve others, I attended Compton Community College, completing the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program and courses in Fire Science. As an EMT, I worked alongside the Los Angeles County Fire Department, responding to emergencies and saving lives across the county. I later joined Torrance Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Room, where I worked with some of the best doctors, nurses, and ER techs in the South Bay.
With a growing passion for public safety and justice, I went on to earn a degree in Criminal Justice from East Los Angeles College and began my law enforcement career in 2014 as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff. I served at Twin Towers Correctional Facility and Carson Sheriff Station, where I became a Training Officer before taking on my current role as a Gang Detective with Operation Safe Streets.
But beyond the badge, I am a husband, a father, and a man of God. My life’s mission has always been about service; service to people, to community, and for a purpose.
